Keto Cheesy Sausage & Peppers
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds Italian Sausage sliced
- 1 Red Bell Pepper Sliced
- 1 Green Bell Pepper Sliced
- 1/2 Medium Onion Sliced
- 2 tbsp Beef Broth
- 1 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 cups Parmesan Cheese Grated
- 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook the sausage in an ovenproof skillet over medium high heat on the stove until completely cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium, add the vegetables to the skillet and saute until just becoming tender. Remove and set aside.
- Drain the grease from the skillet.
- Add the beef broth to the skillet to deglaze it.
- Whisk in the heavy whipping cream, tomato paste, Italian seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.
- Saute until the sauce thickens.
- Stir in the parmesan cheese.
- Add the meat and vegetables back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top and bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted.
